VACANCY CLOSED: Employability Project Assistant

Forth Valley Welcome (FVW) is a registered charity which supports refugees from Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Ethiopia being resettled in Stirling and Clackmannanshire, both on initial arrival and long term. We wish to employ an Employability Project Assistant for a fixed period to support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our employability project. 

The Role 

Reporting to the FVW manager, the Employability Project Assistant contributes to support services for New Scots in Stirling and Clackmannanshire through effective employability project administration. A job description for the post can be downloaded here.  

This 5-months contract offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in project administration, and evaluation support within a small but dynamic charity. 

The Project Assistant will work closely with the rest of the FVW team and partners with a unique opportunity to help run a range of exciting and evolving employability activities. 

This is a part-time post, 18 hours per week, working from home. Working hours are flexible. The contract will be for 5 months. Salary will be based on real Living Wage (£12 an hour). It will be calculated pro rata based on a full-time equivalent rate of £21,840 per annum which equates to £4,680 for 18 hours a week for a term of 5 months or £936 per month.

To enable the Employability Project Assistant to make their best contribution to the role, there is some flexibility in working conditions, e.g. days and hours worked, holiday scheduling.
