Roles

We have many volunteer opportunities available, offering a wide range of roles, depending on your interests and the time you have available. This includes Home Visitor (Befriending), helping with materials (clothing and furniture), IT support, admin support, life and language skills, fundraising and events. We are also open to offers! If none of our roles take your fancy but there is something you’d like to offer to do that you think would be useful, please get in touch with our team via  admin@forthvalleywelcome.org.

If you would like to be informed of future dates, register your interest via our Register with us tab or email admin@forthvalleywelcome.org

All volunteers must complete some mandatory training. We run training periodically, comprised of two sessions; a 1.5 hour introductory session, followed by a more in-depth 3 hour training.

All volunteers are expected to remain with us for a minimum of a year and dedicate at least four hours a month. Obviously, we are understanding of time off for holidays, illness and studying.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, sign up here.

Induction & Training Sessions

From here you must complete our online induction session and in-person training sessions.

Final Checks

Once that's done, we will check your references and send out our Volunteer Handbook.

Ready to go!

Finally we arrange a meeting; whether that be a Home Visitor placement meeting with our Volunteer Coordinators and New Scots, or with the teams who help with Material Needs, Conversation Café or Snack & Chat. Now you are officially a volunteer!
