There are some really great resources out there for getting the support that you need or simply learning more about the policies and processes that impact New Scots. We have compiled a range of resources to help answer all of your questions!
General Support

Scottish Refugee Council
The SRC provides practical support, advice and a listening ear to help people rebuild their lives in a sustainable and meaningful way. We work with communities and community groups. And we speak out against an unjust asylum system and campaign for policy changes that make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI)
Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is a single-door access point to the third sector in Clackmannanshire. Our goal is to provide help and support to people who want advice on running or starting any type of charity, social enterprise or voluntary group, as well as volunteering and community work.

Right to Remain Toolkit
The Right to Remain Toolkit is free to use, and it’s for people who want to learn more about the legal process, or a particular part of the legal process. You might be making an application or are thinking about it; you might be helping someone else to do so.
Ukraine
We are keeping track of UK plans to support Ukrainian refugees coming to the UK. We will keep in touch with our two Councils on their links with UK government plans for housing refugees in the area, and stand ready to support them as we do for the 200 ‘New Scots’ already here from Syria, Sudan, and Afghanistan. Based on experience with refugees from Afghanistan, it may some time for the Home Office to start that flow happening.
